5. Conclusions. This work shows that Indonesia has vast practical off-river pumped hydro energy storage potential that requires only a small fraction of Indonesia''s land area. A total of 26,000 off-river potential PHES sites were identified in Indonesia with 800 TWh of energy storage capacity.
